About Magori

25 Oct 2008

Magori - meaning “corn thief” – loves eating corn in the fields! Even more than her peers! She was part of the Rugendo family until 1998 when she left with Humba and others – but she is the most aggressive female in the Humba family.

For example when you try and get near her, she always makes a low grunting noise that means “don’t come any closer”.

We think this is because she has often been caught by local farmers in corn fields, who have then herded her and the rest of the family back into the forest. So now she just doesn’t like people that much – and that includes us, the Rangers who are there to protect her.

But we don’t mind!
